Instructions

Legs

Make sure legs are square, use jointer if needed.

Create ½ deep x Ύ”wide x 14” long groove into top side of legs for sides to fit into.

Create ½” deep x Ύ” wide x 14” long groove into adjacent side of two legs for back to fit into.

Create a  ½” deep x Ύ” wide x 1 ½” long groove into top of the adjacent side of remaining two legs for front door supports to fit into.

Create a ½” deep x Ύ” wide x 1 ½” long mortise starting  at 12 ½” from the top of the leg and ending at 14” from the top.   Use a router if you don’t have a mortising machine.

Using a template, trace a arc line down one side of each leg and then cut with bandsaw.  ( be sure you mark and cut the correct side of each leg so the grooves you cut earlier are facing the correct direction).

Table top

Cut 45°angle on each piece.

Using a router and Ό” cut through bit, rout a groove for glass to fit on.

Cut biscuit joints into 45° ends, glue and clamp pieces together.

Create rounded edging for table top using fancy router bit.

Back and left and right Sides

Cut 45°angle on each piece.

Cut a ½” deep slot into inside edge of each piece for glass to fit into.

Using Ό” round over bit, round inside edge of each piece, one side only.

Using a Ό” cut through bit, cut a Ό” deep shelf on the opposite edge you just rounded for shelf to lay on.

Biscuit joint, glue and clamp together, insert glass before gluing last piece in place.

Repeat for other side.

Door and Front side

Cut a 45° angle on the door pieces.

Cut a ½” deep  groove with table saw into inside edge for glass to fit into.

Using Ό” round over bit, round inside edge of each piece, one side only.

Using a Ό” cut through bit, cut a Ό” deep shelf on the opposite edge you just rounded for shelf to lay on.

Biscuit joint, glue and clamp door pieces together, be sure to insert glass before gluing last side in place.

Final Assembly

Pre-fit all sides into legs, then glue sides into grooves in legs.

Repeat for front and back sides, clamp and let dry overnight.

Test fit door into place and plane edges about 1/16” on each side so that door can swing freely.

Sand and Paint with White Satin Enamel or Gloss paint.

Mark and attach door hinges with wood screws.

Install door knob in center of top of door.

Apply eight felt pads 2” out from corners and lay beveled table top glass in place.
